The title says solid wood. The bullets say something more precise, and the weight confirms which is right.

Read carefully, the listing describes solid rubberwood legs and an acacia veneer. Those are two different things. The legs are solid timber; the case is a thin layer of real acacia over a board core.

The stated weight settles it. At 13.5 pounds this is the second lightest nightstand we have covered, sitting just above a particle board unit and well under a third of the weight of a comparable solid bamboo one at 44 pounds. Solid timber is heavy, and this is not.

That is not a criticism of the product, only of the title. A veneered case with solid legs is a sensible way to build furniture: solid timber goes where loads concentrate and screws need holding, while veneer over board stays flat across a wide panel where solid wood would cup or split with humidity.

What you get is real acacia grain on the visible surfaces rather than a printed pattern, at a fraction of the weight and cost of solid construction. What you do not get is a case you can sand back and refinish, since veneer is too thin for that.

The drawers arriving pre-installed is the most practical feature here.

Drawer fitting is the step flatpack furniture most often gets wrong. Runners have to be mounted level and at matching heights on both sides, and a fraction of an inch out means a drawer that catches, sits crooked, or will not close flush. Getting it right requires care that most assembly instructions gloss over.
