Throw Blankets
A good throw blanket earns its keep by getting used constantly — draped over a couch arm, grabbed on a cold evening, washed more than almost any other textile in the house. That means it needs to hold its shape and texture wash after wash, not just look good the day it arrives. We’re picking chunky knits, woven cotton, and other throws based on how the yarn and construction hold up over time, not just color options or how they style in a photo. Pilling, shedding, and shape retention matter more here than most people expect until they’ve bought a cheap one that falls apart in a season.
