Adjustable feet are the feature here, and no other coffee table we have covered has them.

The problem they solve is geometric. Three points always define a plane, which is why a tripod cannot rock no matter how uneven the floor. Add a fourth leg and you need all four tips to sit in the same plane, which almost never happens on a real floor. Boards cup, tiles sit proud, older houses settle, and rugs bunch.

On a two-tier table this matters slightly more than usual, because a rock at floor level is amplified by the time it reaches the top surface, which is where your coffee is.

The feet do a second job worth noting, which is protecting the floor. A bare metal leg end dragged across a hard floor scratches it, and concentrated on a soft floor it dents. A foot pad spreads that load and gives you a non-marking contact point.

The rest of the design is a sensible, conventional arrangement. A manufactured wood top on metal legs puts the load into the frame rather than the panels, which is the right way round, and two tiers give storage without widening the footprint.

At 14 pounds it is light for its size, carrying a stated 100 pounds, which is around seven times its own weight. That figure is the lowest among the round tables we have looked at, though it remains far more than a coffee table is normally asked to hold.

Now the discrepancy, which is small but worth naming. The specification field gives the diameter as 28.1 inches. The first bullet point gives it as 28.7 inches. The height agrees at 18.1 inches in both.

Six tenths of an inch works out at about four percent of the top surface, so it will not change whether the table suits your room. But when a listing disagrees with itself on the most basic measurement, it is a reminder to treat the other unverified claims with the same mild caution.

Either figure puts it in the same place practically: around 28 inches suits seating of roughly 37 to 43 inches, which is a loveseat or a pair of armchairs rather than a full sofa.

One claim is simply redundant. The listing highlights rounded corners and edges for safety. On a circular table there are no corners to round, so this reads as copy written for a rectangular product. The safety benefit is real, it just comes from the shape rather than from any particular detailing.

At 18.1 inches this is at the taller end for a coffee table, suiting sofa seats of roughly 16 to 20 inches.
