Why we picked it

Most floor lamps are light fittings that happen to have a shape. This one is closer to a sculpture that happens to give light, with an infinity-inspired gold resin centrepiece as the visual focus and the illumination arguably secondary.

Whether that appeals depends entirely on what the corner needs. If a room already has adequate lighting and the corner is visually empty, an object that fills it and also lights is doing two jobs. If you need the corner lit properly, a three-head tree lamp will do considerably more.

The marble base is the most substantive engineering choice here. Marble is dense, considerably more so than the stamped or cast metal bases used across the rest of this category, so a marble base of the same size weighs more and lowers the centre of gravity further.

The listing specifically claims stability on hardwood, tile and carpet, and carpet is the harder case. Soft flooring compresses unevenly under a base, so a lamp that stands level on tile can rock on a rug. More mass presses the base down evenly and resists that. It is the right claim to make for marble and a reasonable one.

Worth noting the practical flip side: a marble-based lamp is heavier to move and marble chips rather than dents if the base is knocked against a hard edge or dropped during assembly.

Three colour temperatures come from the bulb rather than the lamp, switched via the rotary control: 3000K warm, 4000K natural, and 6500K daylight. That covers evening ambience, reading, and detailed work from one fixture.

6500K is very cool, cooler than most daylight bulbs at 5000K, and it will feel distinctly clinical in a living room. It is there for task work rather than atmosphere, and most of the time you will likely leave this on 3000K.

The honest limitation is output. This is a single bulb, where the tree lamps in this category use three for 2400 lumens. The listing does not publish a lumen figure at all, but a single E26 LED typically delivers 800 to 1000 lumens. Expect roughly a third of what a multi-head lamp produces.

The black grid shade will reduce that further, since a grid blocks light where the bars sit while casting patterned shadow through the gaps. Attractive, but not maximally efficient at putting light into a room.

A two year protection plan is included, which is worth having on a lamp with resin and marble components where a manufacturing flaw might not show immediately.
